Maiya demonstrated her artistic talents early and began her art education in studio classes at the New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, Connecticut. Her college career began at Central Connecticut State University where she studied for 3 years in studio work such as painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, graphic design, and illustration, as well as Art History while persuing a B.A. in Art. A trip to Colorado and visit t UCDenvers' world class animation studio saw Maiya pivot to Colorado where she recently achived a BA of Fine Arts from UCDenver.

Maiya's focus is in digital art and 3-D animation concentrating in environment design and set dressing.
